“This is an honest review coming from me that have stayed in this place for half a year. I think only the room was the best facility here. It’s a small 3x4 studio, but cozy. Other than that, the experience in this place was horrible. For those of you that are considering safety here. Safety is none. The door locks here are Number-Pins, which the CURRENT and PREVIOUS STAFF KNOW THE PIN. When requested for the pin to be changed (for my own security), the owner declined and instead just gave me the Master-Card key for the door, which really… does nothing. I had a terrible experience here. It’s regarding the lock systems here. It happened twice to me, where someone tried entering my room and they both know my pin. Luckily in those times, I was in the room and locked the door using the swing bar lock. WHO KNOWS HOW MANY PEOPLE WENT IN MY ROOM WHEN I WASN’T THERE? Now, the second time my door got breached. It was at midnight, 2.10am. I was half-awake and noticed it. I wouldn’t exit my room to know who the person was, as I was a girl living alone there. The next day, my boyfriend confronted and asked the staff there whether the CCTV footage could be given to us. So that we could know who this person was. Take note that the CCTV was STILL WORKING and making a BEEPING SOUND at the time the incident happened. The staff there, an old lady which turns out to be the owner’s mom said the CCTV is broken and told us to check again in A WEEK. She also suggested to change the pin of the room. Then we agreed to change the pin, and so the owner’s mom told one of the staff there to assist us. The staff assisted us, whilst changing the pin, which turns out to NOT CHANGE a pin. Instead it only ADDS another pin. Basically now there’s two pins in the door, and both can be used to open the door. Comes the next week, I followed up about the CCTV and I also asked the owner to repair the AC, as it wasn’t pumping cold air anymore. FYI this wasn’t the first time the AC was broken. During my first month here, the AC wasn’t working, and it took the staff so long (a month) to get the AC fixed. Although, to be fair (or not?) I was given a 300k compensation. Going back, the next day the owner suddenly calls me saying the repairman is already on the spot. NO NOTICE, NO CONFIRMATION of a particular TIME, and mind you I WAS WORKING AT THE TIME. They abruptly entered my room without my consent/permission. FYI, they were men entering a girl’s room which has personal belongings. And when confronted, the owner simply said that the GUY staff was there accompanying the repairman and later then I told them to get out, as they don’t have my permission to enter. The owner then panicked saying they “DONT KNOW the pin” and they didn’t enter the room. WHICH IS NOT TRUE because when I returned, all the lights in my room was on and some of my belongings were moved. HOW WOULD YOU AS A GIRL FEEL, KNOWING STRANGERS WHO ARE GUYS, ENTERING YOUR ROOM WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE AND CONSENT? Then when I asked for the CCTV footage of them not entering my room, SINCE THEY “DIDNT ENTER MY ROOM”. The owner completely ignored that matter, and switched the topic of changing the room pin which he was upset about. When it was his own mother that told us to change the pin. Also the hallways in this place are most of the time, DIRTY. Shoes and sandals placed everywhere. The public trash place upstairs (2nd floor) was always opened and messed up by cats. All in all, I think to better the place. The owner and the staff should respect privacy, keep all the facilities in the boarding house maintained, and be open about their CCTV operations, because up to this day. I have yet to receive any CCTV footage of the perpetrator. Hope this place improves.”
